Input Options:

Chambers Creek :   5.2 mgd (all year) or 9.9 mgd

This option determines maximum pumping at Chamber Creek. The user selects a maximum pumping rate of 5.2 mgd throughout the year or a maximum of 9.9 mgd during the summer and peak demand periods (June 1-October 31).

Expand Tideflat GW

This option expands Tideflat Groundwater pumping capacity by 5 mgd.

Section 1135

This option activates Section 1135 operating rules, which allow the Army Corps of Engineers to refill HAH with an additional 5,000 acre-feet to be released for debris removal during May. The Second Supply/HAH Dam Expansion Project displaces this option.

Total Demand Projection

This option allows user to choose one of two possible Tacoma demand projections. Tacoma Public Utilities has issued projections which incorporate demands covering a small (low demand) or large (high demand) service area.

Water Conservation

This option reduces the Tacoma projected average demand by implementing industrial water conservation. Tacoma Public Utilities estimate that industrial mills could conserve 9.4 mgd.

Water Reuse

This option reduces the Tacoma projected average demand by implementing industrial water reuse. Tacoma Public Utilities estimate that industrial mills could reduce demands by 17.2 mgd if they recovered and reused process water.

This field displays Tacoma's daily municipal and industrial demand in million gallons per day.

HAH Expansion/Second Supply Project

A check symbol indicates that the HAH Expansion/Second Supply Project has been activated. This option may be chosen in the Regional Control Panel.

Year of Investigation

This field displays the Year of Investigation entered into the Regional Control Panel.
