Input Options:

 

1% Conservation Per Year

Selecting this option initiates a one percent per year demand reduction each year for 10 years.

Highline Well Capacity, mgd

This slide bar determines Highline Well Capacity in million gallons per day.

Implement Curtailments

Selecting this option initiates a simplified curtailment schedule based upon the drought contingency plan developed by SPU. Curtailments of 15%, 25%, or 35% are implemented dependent upon supply and time of year.

Use Wells

Selecting this option initiates Highline Well extractions after during the summer when releases are made at Cedar Creek and Lake Youngs in order to meet demands.

Variable Demand

This initiates a variation of base demand that responds to temperature and precipitation data (i.e. more climate dependent demand function).

 

Output Fields:

 

Base M&I Demand (mgd)

This field displays Seattle's daily municipal and industrial demand in million gallons per day.

Year of Investigation

This field displays the Year of Investigation entered into the Regional Control Panel.
