The CRYSTAL model has a series of user interface pages designed to allow the user to select specific values in the model to reflect alternative scenarios, listed below in Figure 5.1. These screens were designed to guide the user in running model simulations and evaluating the results.

Throughout the model interface, the screens can be separated into the following categories:

Title Pages - Each of the systems have a title page, which presents information about the system layout. The user may view screens describing specific aspects of that system by right clicking on navigation buttons tot activate a new screen.

Control Panels - Six control panels allow model users to alter model input, run the model, and reach screens that provide simulation results. Each city has a master control panel and both Seattle and Tacoma have an advanced control panel.

Metrics Pages - After choosing input options and running the model, the user may evaluate the system by viewing the output screens. These screens provide graphical and numerical metrics, which describe what happens within the components of the water supply.
